As SPCT, I have been in the trenches implementing the Scaled Agile Framework and launching Agile Release Trains (ARTs), with proven success overcoming the challenges associated with transformation. Over the years, I have been coaching many leaders to understand what success looks like when it comes to Lean-Agile leadership and implementation of SAFe. The goal of my course is to provide students with a meaningful understanding of Implementing SAFe, while bringing my experience, first-hand knowledge, and real-world examples to the course and allowing you to share and analyze your own unique context as well.

Course Summary.

It is essential for enterprises to develop skillsets that are in demand worldwide so that they are able to compete in today’s disruptive market.

It will provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to lead a Lean-Agile organization through the use of the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®) and the underlying principles that are derived from Lean, System Thinking, Agile development, product development flow, and DevOps. Moreover, you will acquire skills that will enable you to support and execute PI Planning events, and coordinate several Agile Release Trains (ARTs).

A SAFe® Agilist (SA) is a professional who develops skills that are in demand worldwide, and who empowers enterprises to thrive in a disruptive market. In order for you to be able to lead a Lean-Agile transformation, you’ll need to understand the Lean-Agile Mindset and why it’s so effective in today’s adaptive-or-die marketplace. Besides creating and supporting Agile teams and programs, you will also learn how to build a Lean Portfolio, develop a Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevOps culture, and coordinate large projects and products.

What you’ll learn.

SAFe® Agilists (SA) are required to perform the following duties as part of their role:

• Understand the basic constructs of SAFe® and the steps that make up the Implementation Roadmap and how they relate to SAFe®

• Implement SAFe’s Lean and Agile principles into the roles and practices of SAFe® in order to increase effectiveness.
• Establish a mission and purpose for your team in order to create high-performing teams.
• Leadership that enables transformational change, people development, and innovation through the use of transformational leadership.
• Support the PI Planning process and the events that are hosted by the PI.
• Assuring continuous value delivery through the use of the Continuous Delivery Pipeline.
• Ensure that Strategic Themes are aligned with Lean Portfolio Management and that they are implemented.
• Coordinate multiple Agile Release Trains with multiple suppliers with the help of the Solution Train.
